Improve data center airflow management, reduce hot air recirculation, and support higher rack densities with Upsite AisleLok® Bi-Directional Doors. Designed as a modular component of the AisleLok Modular Containment system, these clear, see-through aisle doors provide an effective barrier at the end of a hot or cold aisle while maintaining easy access for personnel and equipment.
The AisleLok Bi-Directional Doors attach directly to the end-of-aisle rack cabinets using tool-less, twist-lock magnetic mounting. The bi-directional swinging design allows equipment carts to pass through without requiring the doors to be manually opened first, making them particularly well suited for data centers where frequent equipment movement and maintenance access are important.
Available in common 42U, 45U, 48U, and 50U rack heights, AisleLok Bi-Directional Doors provide a flexible containment solution that can be installed, removed, relocated, or repositioned as your data center evolves. The doors can be used independently or paired with AisleLok Rack Top Baffles for more comprehensive aisle airflow containment.
AisleLok Bi-Directional Doors help separate hot and cold air at the end of the aisle, reducing hot air recirculation and server intake temperatures. Better airflow management can help improve cooling efficiency, support higher-density deployments, and reduce data center operating costs.

All configurations are supplied as matching left-hand and right-hand door panels with bi-directional swinging hinges. Select the rack-height configuration that corresponds to the end-of-aisle cabinets.
Proper aisle containment helps prevent conditioned air from mixing with hot exhaust air. AisleLok Bi-Directional Doors create a physical separation at the end of the aisle to help limit hot air recirculation and improve the thermal environment around IT equipment.
Helps prevent hot exhaust air from returning to server equipment intakes.
Improved airflow management can help data centers accommodate higher rack densities.
Better separation of hot and cold air can reduce cooling demand and operating costs.
The modular design can be changed as racks and aisle configurations evolve.
AisleLok Bi-Directional Doors can be used at either a hot aisle or cold aisle, as well as with stand-alone equipment. They are particularly useful in data centers that need the benefits of aisle containment without the permanent construction, engineering, and installation requirements associated with traditional containment systems.
For maximum airflow-management benefits, pair the Bi-Directional Doors with AisleLok Rack Top Baffles. The combination creates a more effective barrier against hot air recirculation at the end and top of the aisle.
Unlike permanently installed containment systems, AisleLok is designed around a modular, tool-less approach. Components can be installed directly in the data center with minimal disruption and can be repositioned as equipment layouts change. This makes AisleLok a practical option for data centers looking to improve thermal management while retaining flexibility for future expansion and rack changes.
Order AisleLok Bi-Directional Doors for your data center airflow management project. Choose from 42U, 45U, 48U, and 50U configurations to match your rack height and containment requirements.
