The Avocent PM3001V-401 is a 0U Vertical 1-ph 24A 208V with L6-30, 21 C13 & 3 C19 ports Power Management PDU. This intelligent Power Distribution unit (IPDU) supports outlet level metering and switching capability to provide datacenter professionals the tools they need to monitor, reduce, and manage their growing power consumption costs of IT equipment. Thresholds can be created to allow datacenter teams to know before problems occur and minimize downtime caused by overloaded circuits.
The ability to integrate with the DSView3 management software enables IT managers to have a consolidated interface to access and manage their IT equipment and also the supporting power infrastructure. Question: Hi, I read that the measurement resolution for current metering is +/- 5%. May I know if it can be used to measure accurately a current of 0.07A? How do we interpret +/-5% measurement resolution? Thanks.
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, we are still waiting on clarification from the manufacturer. Our best guess is that the resolution of +/- 5% refers to how discrete the measurements are. Perhaps the device will accurately measure fluctuations of +/- 5%.
We believe this unit will display amperage to one decimal place. With that in mind, we doubt the unit could accurately measure current down to 0.07A. If we hear differently, we will update this post.
