PDU models with part number AP7xxxB have an embedded NMC2, and as such will have a different interface and firmware support from the standard AP7xxx series. AP7xxxB SKU's will use the same NMC firmware as AP8xxxx models, with support for the AP7xxxB starting at v6.4.4. Information regarding the differences between firmware v6.x and APC's older generation v3.x (what the standard AP7xxx units used) can be found here: FA176047. In addition, the AP7xxxB models utilize a command-line driven Serial/Telnet interface, opposed to the menu-driven style of the AP7xxx unit.
